As you know RIM official Facebook app doesn’t support Facebook chat, therefore here I would like to introduce an app that allow you to chat in Facebook while you on the go.

When you found a great app or theme but its only available at OTA, then "BlackBerry OTA Downloader" is come into place to assist you download the OTA files to your desktop.
Instead of enter the full URL of the download on your BlackBerry smartphone, you can just enter the OTA link into BlackBerry OTA Downloader and click download, the program will now download all the required files to your desktop.
Here are the benefits using BlackBerry OTA Downloader
- Backup OTA downloads on disk.
- No BlackBerry Internet Services required.
- Install blackberry OTA themes using your desktop software.
How to use BlackBerry OTA Downloader
- Download the program and unzip it
- Run the program by double click the exe file
- Go to whatever website that's consist of OTA link
- Right click on the link where you can download the .JAD file, and click "Copy Shortcut”
- Paste the address in the OTA Downloader and click "Download".
- At this point, OTA Downloader should download all the necessary files and save into a folder.
How to install the downloaded OTA file into BlackBerry smartphone
- Connect BlackBerry smartphone to PC with USB cable
- Copy those downloaded files into the "documents" folder on your BlackBerry Memory Card.
- Disconnect USB cable
- At your BlackBerry smartphone, using file explorer to browse into that “documents” folder.
- Open the .JAD file.
- Click "download" and it will install the app into your BlackBerry smartphone.

After the lot of issues reported in previous BlackBerry Facebook, finally RIM has release the latest version 1.8.0.49 to rectify the current issue.
Here's what you need to know about the new version:

Just to introduce a new app call "Whatsapp Messenger". WhatsApp is a smartphone-to-smartphone messenger or chat application. WhatsApp allows you to carry on a conversation in real time with your mobile contacts without having to pay for SMS.

I believe most people are using zip format when sending email attachment. Zip file is well known format and file size is smaller in order to reduce network bandwidth. But zip / unzip functionality is doesn’t support in BlackBerry smartphone by default, therefore BB users may need to install 3rd party apps instead.

For regular Blackberry users, most of them should know that full reset Blackberry smartphone is required to pull battery out. By doing phone resetting, it will free up unnecessary memory, make your smartphone response faster and stable. It is quick hassle to pull battery out, but you have to do it after certain period of time usage.

It have been long time wating since leak version spread in the internet, finally Blackberry Messenger 5 (BBM5) is officially released on 7-Oct-2009. BBM 5 brings a new interface and a ton of new features.
One of the awesome feature is “BBM Groups”. What are BBM groups? BBM Groups allow you to have real-time chat with group of people. Within the group you can share and comment on photos (like facebook), upload and transfer files, and even share tasks and calendar appointments.
The person who created a group is the Administrator, he/she has full control for the group, but he/she still can assign privileges to other users. Below screenshot is showing the major option is the group activity
- Members - shows all Group members
- Chat - opens the current "chat room" or group discussion
- Pictures - view all pictures uploaded by the group
- Lists - task list for the group
- Calendar - upload/send appointments to group members
