If you were expecting anything new from the Apple I must fill you with joy. Finally, the iPhone's family collection was joined by the new iTouch device. So what if your iPhone is filled with all sorts of great stuff? The iPod touch has more.
The iTouch doesn't include a phone, that's why its main feature is the text messaging. The iTouch can be connected to internet via Wi-Fi and that is why Apple added some other 5 applications. The main are Mail, Maps and Stock which start working when connected to internet. The coolest of those is Maps which now integrates with your contacts.
You just have to chose a contact, tap on maps and you will be given travel directions in a few seconds. No, it is not the GPS that helps finding directions. It is the Wi-Fi positioning technology – an interesting way to find the location and chart out the map.
Apple has also made some improvements in the touch screen programs so you could take a better advantage from the Wi-Fi. So don't worry, you will be able to e-mail a picture of you lying under Florida sun to your family and friends.

It's quite an obvious fact that desk space is of great importance. Hardly someone likes when there are odds and ends on the table. So for those people who try to keep their desk space clean and tidy designers create objects with small footprints. Such a device has been recently invented by Korean designers (Jin Hee Kim, Hyung Il Kim & Woo Seok Park).
Their new gadget represents quite an original hanging printer that can help you a lot in saving your space. The significant part of its components is underneath the desk. So the only parts that are located on the desk are paper feed and print head. Giving concept has an embedded LCD to indicate status. Moreover gadget has 2 USB ports giving an opportunity to connect different devices to it. Another advantage of this printer consists in the fact that it has modern aesthetic design being a great solution for today's cluttered desktops. As regards the functionality and price of this gadget no information is available.
In sum it should be mentioned that hanging printer can be considered as a very unusual and useful design. Moreover taking into consideration its distinctive feature I think that after some time it will probably be widely adopted. But now the only thing we can do is to look forward to its appearance on the market.

A lot of efforts were made to help blind people restore their sight. Yet, despite the fact that many promising ideas appeared it's very hard to find a solution for such a complex problem. But in case we really want to make all those people happy the research on this issue must go on.
Thus, according to the recent patent application implanting a micro-camera directly into the eyeball may be a future solution for restoring sight to blind or people with damaged vision. Actually technology to restore sight to the blind by using electronic retinas was developed some time ago, but the link between the retina and external cameras was involving wires, which represents a significant disadvantage of such a method. But now it's said that the camera could be charged wirelessly and communicate directly with a chip implanted at the back of the eye, so very little external hardware would be needed.
UCLA Optical engineer Michelle Hauer thinks that technology may have advanced enough to insert a tiny camera inside the lens of the eye, capable of adapting for corneal optical effects and perhaps using haptics to stabilize its position. The camera would transmit images to a nerve-stimulating chip at the back of the eye, resulting in a complete electronic vision system.
It sounds great, so if scientists are able to make this technology true in near future, it will be an outstanding achievement. However, it seems a little bit unreal to implement such a perfect technology.

There is no need to talk about the significant role of cell phones in our life. The fact that they turned into something really necessary and important explains why almost everybody has a cell phone. Thus, people started paying more attention not just to the functionality of these devices, but to the way they look as well. As a consequence we got a great variety of them pretty looking phones.
Recently Swedish company Goldwish designed Le Million cell phone that is considered to be the most expensive in the world. It's made of red, yellow and white gold and encrusted with diamonds of 120 carats. Moreover its backboard is covered with crocodile leather. As regards the price of this gadget it almost corresponds to the name that was given to this device, yet it's a little bit bigger - 1,43 million dollars.
There is no information about the characteristics of this cell phone and probably this is quite an understandable fact, because they are of no importance. The edition of this gadget is very limited - just three Le Millions will be sold in the world. So everything shows that the uniqueness of the gadget is the only feature, with help of which designers intend to attract people's attention, especially of reach ones.
As far as we - mere mortals - are concerned I don't think that someone will really dream about this cell phone. Of course it looks great, but it's too expensive. Such kind of things should be kept shut up in a safe and not put into the pocket.

What are the most important features of a camera for you? At present compact, multifunctional and stylish digital cameras are generally considered as the best ones. All these three features serve as the main criteria while someone is choosing which one he/she should buy. However, some companies trying to invent a high-end device neglect some of these criteria. Do you pay much attention to pixels while choosing a camera? Do you believe that the more pixels a camera has the better will be the quality of photos?
Seitz company, for example, created a 160-megapixel 6 x 17 inch camera that is considered to have the highest resolution among all the digital cameras. In addition to the fact that this gadget looks huge it is probably heavy to carry and shoot with. Apparently one full resolution image taken with this Seitz camera will take up approximately 900MB. So a simple memory card won't be enough for you to make even a few photos.
The Seitz D3 Digital Camera impresses not only with its sizes (6 x 17, 4.5 lb), but also with its features. This gadget takes pictures with resolution of 7,500 x 21,250 pixels, that is to say 160 MP. The Seitz D3 Digital Camera is combined with a tablet PC, which works with it, making the whole process easier and more reliable in service. But in case you really like extremely high resolution image be ready to buy a portable hard drive for this purpose. Nevertheless, that's not the half of it. Such a high-end gadget costs about $ 45,000.
Of course it's great that now you have the possibility to possess this high resolution camera. Yet I'm sure that there is hardly someone who really needs this stuff. Moreover its price is so high that just quite a limited number of people can afford it. As a result I would like to say that to buy this gadget means to make one of the most irrational purchases in the world.

The amount of portable devices is so huge that sometimes it seems like there is already nothing that can be made smaller. Yet creative designers think that even portable devices can become much smaller. What about you? Have you ever thought that a mouse can be even more portable?
An absolutely new mouse design has been recently offered. This gadget that is named Jelly Click takes mouse portability to the extreme. All the electronic circuitry lives on a small flexible board. The body itself is just soft plastic. When the concept is inflated it looks like a usual mouse.
But you can easily let the air out and roll the gadget up. So, whenever you need your mouse, just inflate, attach the USB cable and enjoy the usage. It's quite an understandable fact that such a structure has some important advantages. First of all it would be almost impossible to do any damages to such a device because it's very light. Another advantage consists in the fact that due to the used material this mouse will be water resistant. So you can use it even in the extreme conditions.
To my mind this gadget represents a successful attempt of combining usefulness, portability, solidity and originality. However taking into consideration the fact that everybody is accustomed to using usual mouse it would probably be, at least at the beginning, strange to use this gadget.
