NVIDIA Tegra 3 The latest generation of advanced processor

Diposting oleh fatih on Jumat, 11 November 2011

NVIDIA has officially released quad-core era of mobile computing, NVIDIA Tegra 3processors deliver. The latest products bring high performance for tablets and smartphones. The performance is equivalent to your current PC. In a paper published by NVIDIA, they provide an in-depth details about their variable symmetric multiprocessing (vSMP). Simply put, vSMP implemented in Kal-El is not only optimize the CPU multi-threading and multi-tasking for maximum performance and power efficiency at a moments notice, but offloads background tasks and less CPU intensive activities, such as background synchronization / updates, music playback, video playback to the core of the fifth, which runs at 500 MHz is much slower, and therefore consume less power.

Applications are now demanding the chip maker to create a powerful processor yet power efficient. To try to achieve through Nvidia's Tegra 3. This latest generation has the Tegra line of processors with 4 cores with performance dikalim 5X higher than the previous series. However, to suppress the power consumption of Nvidia membekalinya with an additional processor. NVIDIA Tegra 3 The latest generation of advanced processor.

KEY INNOVATIONS

  • The world's first mobile quad-core and dual-core CPUs for faster Web browsing and snappier response time. The integrated ARM Cortex-A9 is the first mobile CPU with out-of-order execution for more efficient processing—resulting in a better overall experience.
  • Ultra-low power (ULP) GeForce GPU architected for low-power applications. The ULP GeForce GPU delivers outstanding mobile 3D game playability and a visually engaging, highly responsive 3D user interface.
  • 1080p Video Playback Processor that enables HD movies stored on a mobile device to be viewed on an HDTV without compromising battery life.

NVIDIA Kal-El on Windows 8

Diposting oleh fatih on Minggu, 25 September 2011

NVIDIA's official blog has explained the technical details of new products with a horrible name but a promising platform. It turns out that Kal-El is not four but five cores! As you may know, before the end of this year NVIDIA quad core will appear in the market: the code is now known as Kal-El. New NVIDIA NVIDIA-based tablet shows Kal-El on Windows 8.

Four key performance core Cortex A9 is supported by other core Cortex A9. Help "companion core" as the developers call it, is designed for tasks that are less demanding and reduces power consumption device. Work on the maximum frequency of 500 MHz, this core will carry out simple tasks like sending and receiving e-mail, Twitter and Facebook messages, widgets work, backgrounds and animated wallpapers desktop applications. When it comes to the serious tasks such as: gaming, web browsing, re-encoding and editing video and audio, image processing, 3D-graphics, physical modeling, the other four cores will step in and carry out tasks. As soon as one of the four main cores to work additional core disabled.

The technology of dynamic changes in the number of active cores, which brings together a good performance with low power consumption, named vSMP (symmetric multiprocessing Variable).

The maximum frequency of the main core is equal to 1 GHz. The new processor's performance is much higher than the performance Tegra 2. The company estimates that the performance improvement can be up to 50%.

NWR of Processor speed AMD FX overclocked to 8.429 GHz

Diposting oleh fatih on Rabu, 14 September 2011

AMD announced that AMD FX processor has been successfully overclocked to 8.429 GHz. This frequency is the highest in the world, which has been acheived on a working computer processor. That fact was witnessed by representatives of Guinness World Records book. But first things first.

On the last day of summer in Austin, Texas famous overclockers: Sami Makinen, Brian McLachlan, Pete Hardman, Aaron Schradin and Simon Solotko met together to produce this world record. The purpose of Team AMD FX, which also included experts from AMD, was to achieve the maximum frequency which processor can handle. Eight-core Bulldozer AMD FX unit has been chosen as a candidate. This processor has inherited a rich potential for overclocking from its predecessors, which has been extended through the use of the new architecture and new tech process.

Liquid nitrogen and liquid helium cooling systems where used to keep the processor cool. The processor has demonstrated stable operation at higher voltage and abnormal temperature.

Team AMD FX achieved 8.429 GHz clock rate. This is noticeably higher than the previous record which was 8.308 GHz.

The record was recognized by the representatives of Guinness World Records as the "maximum frequency of computer processors."

By the way, AMD representative confirmed that the deliveries of processors AMD FX will begin before the end of this month. This gives hope that the official premiere of AMD FX, scheduled for the fourth quarter will coincide with the start of sales.
