Hacking Guide for Symbain^3 phones using Pheonix

In order to begin flashing with Phoenix read carefully the notes ,bassic requirments and the steps to follow!
Notes:

•  Flash at your own risk, uploader bears no responsibility for any problem(s) occurring to your device due to flashing.
•  Uninstalling is only possible after the first Restart of phone! 
•  The internal file manager does not show the system folder (have deliberately left out) 
• Windows XP 32 Bit is the best OS for flashing with Pheonix.
•  Its better to turn off antivirus while flashing.
•  Press *#0000# to see your Product Code.
•  In photos, RM-596 FW is taken as an example, you can take any Symbian device and foward. 
• Make sure you are not downgrading i.e flashing the lower version than the current device version .
• Make sure you are not flashing an edited rofs2 or rofs3...

Basic requirements:

•  Download NaviFirm from here and Pheonix from here (Pheonix is 2010 version)
•  Open NaviFirm which you downloaded from the above link, select your device + product code(Press *#0000# to see it) and download the following 9 files (while downloading, focus on the extensions, which I have mentioned in bold letters below and keep an extra backup of these Original Files):

1.  0x0-0xxxx0_Pxxxx_00x.xml (Type Label Configuration) 
2.  0xxxx0vx.pcx (Type Label Picture)
3.  RM-xxx_014.002_14.0x_xxx_x_79.92_prd.rofs2.fpsx 
4.  RM-xxx_014.002_79.92_prd.core.fpsx 
5.  RM-xxx_014.002_Cxx.xx_xxx_1_xxx_79.92_prd.rofs3.fpsx 
6.  RM-xxx_014.002_Uxx.xx_79.92_prd.uda.fpsx (Content) 
7.  RM-xxx_0xxxxxx_014.002_00x.dcp 
8.  RM-xxx_0xxxxxx_014.002_00x.vpl 
9.  RM-xxx_0xxxxxx_014.002_00x_signature.bin

Sometimes it may not show you the 9 files which is mentioned above and may show only 6 files. In this case try to switch between the Nokia Care and Product External, as sometimes one of these source will have full files. See an example below for understanding:

• Turn off your Antivirus, install the Pheonix which u have downloaded from the above link and restart ur system.

Now you are ready for flashing, follow the brief steps below CAREFULLY to avoid frustration and problems.
 Brief steps of flashing to solve the crc checksum error: 
1. Rename the provided uda file to your uda file name 'RM-xxx_014.002_U0x.0x_xx.xx_prd.uda.fpsx'
2. Copy paste the original 9 firmware files which u have downloaded through NaviFirm to C:/Program Files/Nokia/Phoenix/Products/RM-xxx/ 
3. Connect yur device (C7/N8/E7/xx) through Ovi Suite and wait if any drivers’ installation is in progress
4. When driver installation in done and it shows that drivers are up-to-date, then execute Phoenix (better right click and run as administrator)

5. Go to Manage Connection > USBx - RM-xxx

6. Go to File > Scan Product > and wait until the bottom bar of the phoenix says ready and will display your phone's connection.

7. Go to Flashing > Firmware Update > Choose your product code (05xxxxx)

8. Press Refurbish button!

9. There will be a warning about the file is not complete / missing ...etc (next step is important)

10. This is very important!!! Don’t press anything in Pheonix yet and go to the provided hacked uda!
11. Copy paste the provided CFW / hacked UDA file (that has been renamed) to C:/Program Files/Nokia/Phoenix/Products/RM-xxx/ and overwrite it
12. Now come back to Phoenix and press ‘YES’.

13. Wait for sometimes until flashing process completes... And then, you'r Done!

Your phone is hacked with the latest FW!
Note: Never use phoenix to flash a custom firmware

ChevronWP7 - First Windows Phone 7 Jailbreak/Unlock Tool

     ChevronWP7  allow a WP7 handset owner to side load applications that aren’t allowed in the Marketplace due to the use of private APIs.

     The tool is called ChevronWP7, and it’s a single executable file that you can be run from any computer running Windows XP SP2 and up. You will need to have the Zune Desktop software installed on your computer, and you’ll need to connect your phone to your PC with a USB cable.

•   Log in to ChevronWP7 Labs with a Windows Live account.
•  Purchase ChevronWP7 unlock tool for $9 (per device) using PayPal or a supported credit card. 
•  Download and install unlock tool.
•  Launch unlock tool and use on-screen instructions to get your device placed in unlock queue.
•  Once your device has been accepted for an unlock from the ChevronWP7 team, your device will, well, be unlocked

Unlocking your Windows Phone 7.x device means having privileged access to it so you can install apps or tweaks – called homebrew applications – which are unauthorized and have some sort of functionality that causes them to be rejected from the Windows Phone Marketplace. How to install apps and themes using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager

   In order to install apps and themes on your BlackBerry, you will need the BlackBerry Desktop Software installed on your desktop computer. You can download the latest version from the official BlackBerry website HERE . BDS is available both for Windows and Mac. Once you have installed BDS on your PC connect your BlackBerry smartphone with the USB cable provided with your phone or any other USB cable that fits, start the BlackBerry Desktop Manager program from your desktop shortcut or from the Start menu programs on your PC.

When the BlackBerry Desktop Manager starts, you will be shown a screen with few options to choose from, if you want to install applications and themes go to "Application Loader - Update, add, or remove device applications". Once you click on the "Application Loader" icon you will be show the following screen with the two options to choose from:

The first option "Add/Remove Applications - Add new applications to your device or remove existing applications." is the one we need in order to install the app or the theme we want on our device. The second one "Update Software - Update your device software" is used for updating your BlackBerry device software. If you are still staring at this screen click "Add/Remove Applications" and you will see the next screen:

 Most BlackBerry apps and themes you will install using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager will come as a ZIP file you need to extract into a folder somewhere. Once you extract your app/theme ZIP you will see several files like this:

Now from the BlackBerry Desktop Manager screen on the previous image locate the "Browse" button and click it. Now browse to the folder where your app/theme files are and select the ALX file, please make sure that both the ALX and the COD files are in the same folder.

After you select the file, you will see the app/theme is listed in the Application Loader box. Now click "Next" to install the application or theme and you will be shown a screen where you can see what you will be installing on your phone. Click "Finish" and the installation will begin. Once it is complete you will be show a success message. This means that you have installed the theme or application on your BlackBerry smartphone. Now disconnect your device and enjoy.

If you are installing themes you can activate the new theme that you just loaded on your BlackBerry smartphone by going to "Menu" > "Options"> "Theme" on your phone, from where you can select the theme you want. Scroll to the one you would like to use click the "Menu" button and select "Activate" and you are done.
